Alycia Delmore (born 1977) is an American actress best known for her work in both film and theater. She gained significant recognition for her role in Lynn Shelton’s 2009 comedy film Humpday, where she played Anna, the wife of Ben (played by Mark Duplass). Delmore has had a diverse career that includes notable roles in both independent films and video games.

Early Life and Education

Alycia Delmore was born in Seattle, Washington. She attended Roosevelt High School and later pursued her higher education at Western Washington University, where she further honed her craft in acting.

Career

Delmore’s breakout role came in 2009 when she appeared in Humpday, a film directed by Lynn Shelton. In the film, she plays Anna, a character caught in a complicated and humorous situation involving her husband and his best friend. The film’s success and critical acclaim helped cement her position in the independent film industry.

She also starred in Shelton’s 2008 film What the Funny, where she portrayed Sarah. Delmore’s work in film has continued with various roles, including Late Autumn (2010), The Off Hours (2011), and Gayby (2011).

Beyond her film career, Delmore has also worked in theater, notably performing with the Seattle Shakespeare Company in a production of Pericles. Additionally, she took on a role in Nancy Drew: The Haunting of Castle Malloy, a video game produced by Her Interactive, where she voiced Kyler Mallory, a fictional London stockbroker.

In 2015, Delmore joined the cast of Wes Hurley’s comedy series Capitol Hill, alongside performers like Jinkx Monsoon, Guinevere Turner, and Sarah Rudinoff. The series received praise for its fresh take on the lives of LGBTQ+ individuals in the Capitol Hill neighborhood of Seattle.
