At 5 feet 4 inches and a solid 143 pounds, Maika is the kind of wrestler who looks like she could be your friend’s little sister—until she turns on you with the force of a typhoon. Born in Fukuoka on March 24, 1998, she was trained by the grizzled veteran Taka Michinoku, which means she learned the hard lessons early and never forgot them. She debuted in 2019 at TAKATaichiMania II, promptly knocking off Mima Shimoda in a performance that said, “I’m here, and I’m not here to play nice.”

Maika’s first steps into World Wonder Ring Stardom began in January 2020, when she was plucked into Giulia’s Donna Del Mondo stable—a faction with the aura of a mafia family, all style, power, and ruthless precision. Early on, Maika’s rivalry with Utami Hayashishita was less a feud and more a sparring match between two forces of nature, building the kind of tension that makes the crowd hold their breath. Her debut in Stardom saw her teaming up with Donna Del Mondo’s heavy hitters to crush Tokyo Cyber Squad, a statement of intent wrapped in a fist.

With Giulia and Syuri by her side, Maika quickly became a three-time Artist of Stardom Champion, the team’s chemistry like a perfect storm. Her individual accolades soon followed—winning the Future of Stardom Championship after besting Saya Iida and Saya Kamitani in a three-way match, proving she was not just a cog in a machine but a machine in her own right.

Her partnership with Himeka formed MaiHime, a tag team powerhouse that seized the Goddesses of Stardom Championship by toppling Oedo Tai’s dominant duo. The dynamic duo defended their belts with a mix of brute strength and tactical brilliance, their matches a cocktail of resilience and raw aggression. Though they eventually lost the titles to their own stablemates Giulia and Syuri—because in Stardom, loyalty sometimes requires sacrifices—it only highlighted Maika’s place in a wrestling dynasty that thrives on competition.

Maika’s career trajectory is littered with near misses and hard-fought battles. She reached the finals of the Cinderella Tournament, battled fiercely in the 5 Star Grand Prix, and held her own against Stardom’s finest—Saya Kamitani, Tam Nakano, Syuri. The highs and lows of championship wins and losses are part of her story, but her relentless drive never wavers.

In 2023, she formed a new alliance with Mei Seira and Suzu Suzuki, defeating the Neo Stardom Army and climbing back up the ranks. The tag league victory with Megan Bayne as Divine Kingdom showed her versatility and adaptability—able to bond with different partners and styles, always aiming for the top.

Her crowning achievement came at Dream Queendom 2023, where she captured the vacant World of Stardom Championship by besting Suzu Suzuki, solidifying her status as one of Stardom’s premier warriors. But wrestling is a revolving door—when Donna Del Mondo disbanded in early 2024, Maika found herself without a unit, a lone wolf with a legacy.

Not for long. Empress Nexus Venus rose from the ashes of Club Venus with Maika as co-leader alongside Mina Shirakawa. This new stable blends experience with hungry ambition, and Maika’s leadership fuels its fire. Their Artist of Stardom Championship win in March 2024 is just the beginning of their story.

Even New Japan Pro Wrestling noticed her star power, inviting Maika to represent Stardom on grand stages like Wrestle Kingdom 15 and Wrestle Grand Slam in MetLife Dome, where she held her own against Queen’s Quest’s best.

Maika is the kind of wrestler who carries Stardom’s future on her broad shoulders—fierce, smart, and unyielding. She’s not just chasing titles; she’s carving a path that others will follow, one suplex and submission at a time. In the cosmic dance of Stardom’s stars, Maika shines bright and refuses to be eclipsed.
