Diane Delano was born on January 29, 1957, in Los Angeles, California. She was the granddaughter of actor John Merton, which influenced her early exposure to the world of entertainment. Delano began her acting career in the late 1970s and became widely known for her versatility as a character actress.

Notable Roles
Delano is perhaps best known for her roles in television. She played Sergeant Barbara Semanski on the CBS series Northern Exposure, which earned her recognition for her portrayal of a no-nonsense, tough character. Another significant role for Delano was Roberta “Bobbi” Glass on The WB series Popular, where she portrayed a memorable, comedic character. Additionally, Delano appeared in Days of Our Lives, playing Hilda, an FBI agent assigned to protect Sami Brady.

Beyond her live-action roles, Delano had a prolific career in voice acting. She voiced a variety of characters in popular animated series, such as Ma Vreedle in the Ben 10 franchise, Tuba in Infinity Train, Stompa in Superman: The Animated Series, and Pantha in Teen Titans.
