DeLoach was born in Waycross, Georgia, as the eldest of three children to David and Terri DeLoach. Her father owned a wood products company, while her mother worked as a superintendent of schools in Pierce County. Growing up on a farm, DeLoach became involved in the pageant world at a young age, winning numerous state and national titles. She later secured a modeling agent and appeared in several print advertisements. As a teenager, she spent a summer in New York City with her mother to pursue her modeling career further.
Career:
DeLoach’s career began in earnest in 1993, when she joined The All New Mickey Mouse Club, a revival of the popular show. Her castmates included future stars like Keri Russell, Ryan Gosling, Britney Spears, Christina Aguilera, Justin Timberlake, and JC Chasez. After the show ended in 1995, DeLoach briefly returned to high school before moving to Los Angeles to pursue acting. She had several TV appearances, including roles in Misery Loves Company and films like Gunfighter’s Moon and Traveller.
In 1998, DeLoach became a member of the girl group Innosense, managed by Lynn Harless, mother of Justin Timberlake. Although Innosense found some success in Europe and opened for acts like NSYNC and Britney Spears, the group disbanded in 2003 after minimal success in the U.S.
Following the breakup of Innosense, DeLoach turned her focus to acting. She starred in the The Net 2.0, the sequel to Sandra Bullock’s The Net, and in Emerald Cove, a series she shared with other Mickey Mouse Club alumni. She also had guest roles in Grounded for Life, Walker: Texas Ranger, Cold Case, and CSI: NY. However, DeLoach’s most notable role came when she was cast as Lacey Hamilton, the mother of the main character Jenna Hamilton, on MTV’s Awkward(2011–2016).
DeLoach has also appeared in several Hallmark Channel films and the French comedy Hollywoo (2011), starring alongside Florence Foresti. Additionally, she occasionally co-hosts on The Young Turks livestream, a political talk show.
Personal Life:
DeLoach married Ryan Goodell, a former member of the boy band Take 5, in September 2009. The couple has two children together. DeLoach is active on social media and has used her platform to share updates about her family and professional life, connecting with her fans and audiences.
