Yasmin Deliz (born June 2, 1987) is an American singer, actress, and television personality. She is best known for her role in the 2009 film Next Day Air and for her work as a co-host on mun2’s music video countdown show Vivo and the reality television show The Chicas Project.

Early Career

Deliz’s career began in 2006 when she was offered a deal with Mun2, a Latin music television network, to work as a VJ. She started as a host on Vivo, where she became a popular figure for the Latin music audience. In January 2007, she teamed up with fellow VJ, Crash, for the reality show The Chicas Project, which followed two close friends with different styles and backgrounds as they embarked on adventures, trying new activities and embracing their Latin heritage.

Acting Career

In 2009, Deliz made her acting debut in the film Next Day Air, where she played the role of Chita, a character involved in a package delivery gone wrong. The film starred Donald Faison, Mike Epps, and Omari Hardwick, and was a notable point in Deliz’s transition into acting.

That same year, Deliz also appeared in the music video for New Kids on the Block’s song “Single,” featuring Ne-Yo. The video was part of her growing presence in the entertainment industry.

Later Work

After Next Day Air, Deliz continued her acting career with roles in films such as Primos (2009), where she played a character named Tall Sexy Woman, and White T. (2013), where she portrayed Megan. Additionally, she made guest appearances on TV shows, including a role in Cougar Town (2009), where she appeared in two episodes as Nezzie.

Personal Life and Influence

Yasmin Deliz is recognized for her Latin background and frequently incorporates elements of her heritage into her work, particularly in her time on The Chicas Project, where she and her co-host explored cultural activities while keeping their Latin identity at the forefront. Deliz has continued to build a career in both acting and television hosting, with a focus on Latin culture and entertainment.

Her roles in film and television, combined with her charismatic hosting work, have made Deliz a notable figure in the entertainment industry, particularly for Latin audiences.
